The trip to the Brightwells auction today in Leominster was unsuccessful. I didn’t realise that you have to view the lots the day before and can’t see them on the day.
So I had a look at the Leominster antiques centre, and at the reclamation yard. I was looking for things like cast iron baths and high cistern loos.
They were all too expensive but they had a railway carriage. I’ve been calling around scrap yards and salvage yards for weeks looking for one, but they’re quite hard to come by. We’ll put it in the field and convert it to a beautiful place to stay.
